RASNZ COVID-19 Policy

The Royal Astronomical Society of New Zealand (RASNZ) supports steps to protect our community from the effects of the corona virus Covid-19 and its variants.

Given that:

  • The RASNZ is a national society with members across the country. Meetings of members generally occur once per year in the form of an annual general meeting and conference held in venues around the country.
  • The RASNZ also has a number of affiliated societies across the country. These societies are independent societies but these Covid Policies are offered as guidelines for these societies.

Policy:

The policy of the RASNZ is that all gatherings of members will follow the Government Covid guidelines in place at the time and location for that meeting.

Specifically, the RASNZ requires all attendees at meetings or gatherings under its control to be fully vaccinated and to provide proof of vaccination before entry with a vaccination passport or official exemption.
