About the Gifford-Eiby Memorial Fund - Speakers List

This fund is available only for use by Affiliated Societies and RASNZ members and exists to sponsor the visits of lecturers or instructors in astronomy to regions throughout New Zealand. Grants from this fund are made to pay all, or a proportion, of the cost of the lecturer's travel expenses. This scheme makes available to local societies quality speakers who would otherwise be unavailable for financial reasons.

To further encourage visits by such speakers and thereby the dissemination of astronomical knowledge, RASNZ maintains a list of quality presenters that can be accessed by Affiliated Societies. We are currently in the process of updating this list and we encourage any interested persons to express their interest by filling in the form set up for this purpose on the RASNZ website as follows: https://www.rasnz.org.nz/rasnz-info/giffordeiby-fund
